Description
- During tunnel construction, the absolute settlement of the tunnel crown and each cross-sectional point is measured to assess the equilibrium and displacement convergence of the tunnel cross-section, as well as to understand the behavior of the surrounding ground and estimate the range of the loosened zone in adjacent soil.
- These measurements serve as fundamental data for evaluating construction stability, confirming the effectiveness of support systems, reviewing subsequent construction processes, and determining the appropriate timing for face closure.

- Targets used for optical surveying are generally divided into two types: triple prisms and refractive-type targets fitted with high-intensity reflective sheets.
